Resources: Draft Intermediate Unit Planning Guide Empowering Regional Leads to Customize Social-Emotional Wellness Supports blog post
Time: 10:00-11:30 am PST
Location: Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR
Description: The Regional Education Lab (REL) and the Pennsylvania Dept. of Education (PDE) shared our research-practice partnership's systems approach to supporting social-emotional wellness in Pennsylvania schools. We engaged partners across the Commonwealth to develop resources that can support educators to understand the landscape of evidence-based social-emotional wellness programs and to use data to inform programming. In this session, we invited you to learn about our systems approach, explore new resources, and apply tools from our resources to consider how you can make social-emotional wellness efforts more evidence-based and cohesive in your state, district, or community contexts. This session was open to all conference attendees but may have been especially useful for state, district, school, and other leaders (such as researchers, foundation program leaders, and nonprofit administrators) who are interested in improving students' and educators' social-emotional wellness.
