Location: Waseca, Minnesota
Description: Throughout the training, participants will reflect on feelings of inclusion and belonging at their school and consider the district’s broader diversity, equity, and inclusion goals to orient their learning towards goals for change. They will also establish a common understanding of eight competencies for culturally responsive teaching and learn about evidence-based, student-focused strategies that can directly impact students' sense of belonging. Participants will have the chance to practice thinking about how they can make changes in their own classrooms through reflection and group activities.
