Developing an Evaluation and Monitoring Plan for ODE’s Student Success Plans Session 3

Northwest | November 28, 2022

REL Northwest and the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) finalized working drafts of the crosswalk and logic model and continued to develop indicators in the third session. REL Northwest facilitated a review of the most recent crosswalk and logic model drafts, made additional revisions as necessary, and helped ODE partners reach a consensus on final working drafts. REL Northwest then facilitated a review of the indicator feedback provided by ODE partners and their reference groups.

REL Northwest helped participants use a data matrix adapted from the Program Evaluation Toolkit (Stewart et al., 2021) and Guidance from Logic models for Program Design, Implementation, and Evaluation: Workshop tToolkit (Shakman & Rodriguez, 2015) to revise the preliminary set of indicators and begin to identify a common set of indicators that will be used to monitor, evaluate, and adjust supports for community based organizations and other educational entities that receive funding through ODE's Student Success Plans. ODE partners then co-developed a set of indicators that ODE can use to monitor and evaluate the activities described in the logic model and the effect those activities have on short- and mid-term outcomes.
