Using Alaska Literacy Data to Drive Professional Learning, Session 1

In this technical support project, REL Northwest will build from previous work with the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (AK DEED) to guide the state in evaluating literacy data through REL Central–created protocol “5 Ds for Making Decisions.” In Session 1, REL Northwest will focus on the “Discover” step to guide AK DEED members in compiling a list of observations from survey and assessment data. Members will interpret these observations in the next session.
