Home Events Using Alaska Literacy Data to Drive Professional Learning Session 2
Northwest | January 16, 2024
In this technical support project, REL Northwest will build from previous work with the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (AK DEED) to guide the state in evaluating literacy data through REL Central–created protocol “5 Ds for Making Decisions.” In Session 2, REL Northwest first will focus on the “Discover” step and build partners’ capacity to interpret data from the District Reading Survey and mCLASS DIBELS to prioritize challenges. REL Northwest will then move to the “Decide” step and guide AK DEED to make decisions about the literacy professional learning needs and how best to provide training to meet those needs.
