Chuuk Education Conference 2024
As the Chuuk Department of Education prepares to launch the Chuukese Culture-Driven Curriculum (CCDC) initiative, school and central office leaders seek to create a system of continuous improvement so that they can be responsive to issues or concerns. In particular, the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) model for continuous improvement can be impactful for developing teachers’ capacity to improve the quality of instruction and learning. In this session, REL Pacific staff provided an overview of the PDSA model and REL resources available to support development of a PDSA cycle for continuous improvement. Attendees learned more about collecting, examining, and using data for quick learning and adjustment through PDSA cycles as the CCDC is implemented.
