Using Data to Examine the Enrollment Rates of Students in Foster Care at Traditional and Alternative Schools - Session 1

West | May 14, 2024

On May 14, 2024, REL West will meet with partners at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) to kick off the project titled "Using Data to Examine the Enrollment Rates of Students in Foster Care at Traditional and Alternative Schools, part of the "Measuring and Improving the Education Outcomes of K–12 Students" partnership. During session 1, partners will gain a deeper understanding of expanded uses of the Electronic Passport System (EPS); learn how to identify different populations of students in foster care using point-in-time and cumulative enrollment data; and learn how the EPS can be combined with other data sources to document the types of schools that students in foster care attend.
