Home REL Central About REL Central Math Community of Practice – Evidence-based practices to support the teaching and learning of K–12 mathematics
The goal of the REL Central Math Community of Practice (Math CoP) is to accelerate the use of evidence-based math practices in grade K-12 classrooms across the Central region by facilitating discourse among partners that elevates their work, ideas, challenges, successes, and lessons learned, and identifying shared needs that highlight areas of support REL Central is not currently engaged in. To accomplish this goal, the Math CoP will (1) engage current partnership members to build upon existing REL Central partnerships and momentum in the region around implementing evidence-based math practices, (2) develop and implement TCTS and/or dissemination projects that best address the common, high-leverage needs surfaced through the CoP, and (3) connect CoP members and their constituents with relevant research and resources, such as those available through the What Works Clearinghouse, Comprehensive Centers, and other RELs.
